Happy New Year

I hope that you all have a great week this week and set some solid goals for the new year! This past week was pretty short and nice! we have time to kinda just kick back and relax at our half mission Christmas party! it was fun and we had a great time! I had to dress up as a Sheppard on a live nativity that we did! It was great week!
We taught a couple great lesson on Tuesday with a less active and a Investigator. The less active is working on coming back to church and is almost there but just has a couple hold ups. James our investigator is coming around he has some great questions that are pretty deep! but he is coming around and starting to understand the importance of the Book of Mormon so pray for him and that he will soften his heart and we will know how to help him i hope you all have a great week! The scripture for the week is Mosiah 5:15  that we sounds "always abound in good works" so that we may have "everlasting  salvation and eternal life"
Love you all and i hope you have a great week

If you every have felt like you cant make it through something or that you aren't good enough or that you can do better! you can and it all through the Atonement of Jesus Christ if you have every wondered how you can find True lasting happiness it is through making others happy and helping them return and get on the path to return to live with their Father in Heaven and there families again. What more what anyone want then to be with your family forever and ever! Money will run out love wont! I promise and I testify to you all this day that God is There and he wants us back it is hard but it is completely worth it! Turkey Week

This week has been really good! Our investigators are doing pretty good. bryan and sam are struggling getting to church. But Audrey is doing awesome! we taught here this week about the 10 commandments and about keeping the Sabbath Day holy! it was an awesome lesson! she was at church yesterday and she loved it! she does very very well on applying things into here life and understanding the scriptures! she is truly amazing! I know that she will be baptized in the future. she has a little boy who is 4 and his name in noah and holy cow is he a handful! It is awesome to see how his attitude is changing because she is praying with him and reading scriptures with him it is awesome! this week I have had time to reflect on what God and Jesus Christ have done for us and holy cow we can not thank them enough! but  a scripture that I have come across this week was Ether 2:12 . We really do live in a choice land here is the Americas! We can be free from Bondage and captivity if we just Serve God and Jesus Christ. That  one way that we can show that we truly do appreciate what they have done for us! whether it is through physical service or through spreading the Gospel! Even those who live is Utah can share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have found an unmeasurable amount of joy by Serving those around me and even those I don't know. I challenge you this week to find something out of the ordinary to do and serve someone whether physical or spiritual cause either way it will bless them! I promise you that this is that one true church of Jesus Christ! and nothing anyone can say or do will change that! I hope you all have a great week! love you all!

We are family and we can do hard things

This week has been aweome! we picked up 4 new investigators! it was awesome and we were able to put 2 more people on date for baptism! the spirit is really taking hjold of the work! this week I have done a lot of studying on unity and working as one! 1 Corinthians 12 is by far one of my favorite chapters cause it talks about how we are all part of the body and are to work as one! Because some one cant do something that some one else can! we are to work together as family no matter who we are or what we have done! and if we work like this we can do hard things! Unity is huge in all that we do! Loving one another could make the biggest difference in life if we would just all follow the 2nd great commandment! I love you all and I hope that you have a great week!

This week was awesome! me and Elder Maucotel were able to see some awesome miracles! We were able to find 3 new investigators in 2 hours! it was awesome the lord surly provided for us! their names were chris, Kristie, and Audrey. Kristie and Audrey had alreay started reading the Book of Mormon! it was Awesome! Chris said that he didn't want us to try to convert him but he let us come in anyway. We told him that it was not us that were there to convert but it was the Work of God and the Holy Ghost to do that. We taught the restoration, and when we got to the first vision, he said that is pretty significant! it was awesome we think that he understand the importance of it it was great! We did a lot of biking and walking but it is Worth it! I was able to Interview a ten year old that the sisters had been teaching for baptism. Holy crap she knew her stuff! It blew my mind on the things that she knew about the gospel! It was a true up lifting experience to be able to have that interview with her and to be able to feel the Spirit there. I was also able to teach a 8 year old of a recent convert the Restoration while my companion was working on family history with his mom. It was sweet! he asked if he could be baptized that very instant! it was awesome! I think Two of my favorite scriptures that I have found this past little while our Hebrews 6:10-20 and Alma 38:10-12. We are to be always diligent in the ways of the Lord in all that we do and don't be Slothful or idle. We are representatives for him at all times! I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God! and that this is the only one and true Restored Church on this earth today! There is a why to everything that we do in the church if you don't understand something then study it out like Joseph Smith did and  Pray and ask God the Eternal Father in the Name of Christ and with a sincere heart and real intent at it will be given unto if it is God's Time I promise you! I hope you all have a great week! love you all

Miracles

So this week as a district we focused on finding with faith! and man did we see some miracles!  on Saturday me and elder maucotel decide to go out and do some door knocking. one door that we knocked on the guy was really cool we talked to him about the Book of Mormon and he asked if he had to buy it or if he could just have it we told him that he could have it and we told him that we teach people about it! he said that he would read it in 3 weeks and we could come back. so we asked him if we could come back sooner to help him understand it and he said sure so we are meeting with him next sunday. the next house that we walked up to we didn't even have to knock it. the lady was outside doing yard work and we asked if she needed help she said no but then she looked at us and said are you Mormon missionaries and we said yes and she said I have been waiting for you!!!! she said I have so many questions I from California I have lds friends and I want to learn more can you come back next Friday! it was crazy! faith really does work I cant believe it has taken me this long to figure that out! Faith can really move mountains if you want it to. but you just have to put your effort into it for it to work! I hope you all have a great week and look for the miricales in your every day lives, cause they are there you just have to look. love you all

Week #2

I hope you all are doing well the hood it doing good! we found 3 new investigators this past week! they seem pretty solid! one thing that we have found that works great in this area is talking with people about the plan of salvation! the people here are humble and they want more peace in their lives. unlike the rich areas who think they have everything these people are looking for more and are willing to accept it. I hope you all listen and watched conference I think that that was the best one I have ever seen (probably cause it was the only ones I really paid any attention)... the ward here is really awesome! the weather is starting to get colder and it is almost starting to snow! we are teaching a family their names are the martins they have been less active for a while but or now pretty active. we are working with the son caanan and the dad Jeremy to get the priesthood it is awesome! I don't think I have ever seen a 15 yr old kid so excited about the gospel! I t is truly amazing! if we could all be as excited as he is the world would be a different place! I know that this is the true church of Jesus Chirst and that it has been restored through the Prophet Joesph Smith! there is no way that all of this could be made up! we can find so much peace and happiness through this gospel! sometimes it can be hard but it is worth it! I hope you all have a great week!
I love you all

Kate and Ralph

This week we were able to teach an awesome lesson with ralph. This week we taught him about the plan of Salvation. He really liked it and he said that it made a ton of sense to him. he truly has the desire to find God and to find the right church. at the end of the lesson he prayed. He asked God that he would have more time for him in his life and that he would have more time to read from the Book Of Mormon. it was really awesome. We invited him to be baptized on November 7 and he Accepted it was really cool.
we were also able to see kate. She is 17 and is the klocks neice. she was baptized a couple of years ago. Well since then she has kinda fallen away. Just recently we started meeting with her again and she has started to read again and her countanace has completely changed. she is alot happier and is excited about the gospel. We are working with here so that she can get here patriartical blessing and go to the temple. i dont this i have ever seen a 17 year old with as much desire to learn about hte gospel then her. We as members truly have a gift with the gospel sometimes we dont recognize it until we go with out it then come back to it. then we remember what we have. i hope you all have a good week and i know that as we read the Book of Mormon our lifes are improved in way that we can not describe.

Baptism!!

This week has been a pretty good one! we were able to have a baptism for riley bodfish who is 10 and from a past member family. me and my last companion started teaching him all the way up to me getting elder mills then we helped him into the waters of baptism. i actully got the chance to baptism him! it was qutie the experience! after he came up out of the water he put both hands in the air and said YES! now its time to dance! he has a lot of energy! but it was super awesome. We were also able to find a new investigator through door knocking his name is Ralph He is 24 and he has two kids one that is 2 and one that is 4. we were able to teach him this week and he is truly prepared! he said he had been praying about going back to church and to have one for his kids to go to then a couple days later we showed up on the door step. we taught the restoration and it made sense to him he then asked us if his kids needed to be baptized and we told him not yet but that he did need to. so he excepted the invitations to be baptized. on saturday Elder Mills called him and invited him to church and he said he would try to make it. after sacrament we thought that he wouldnt show up but then he did with his kids. it was awesome we taught him about faith and how we can grow our faith! then in priesthood we talked about prayer it was awesome! He asked at the end of the lesson he asked how close we thought that we were to the second coming and you could tell he was truly concerned. we helped him understand that it is not something to be scared of just as long as we are prepared. it was really cool. i hope you all know how important the gospel is and there are people that would give anything to have what we have which is the gospel. but yet we take it for granted all the time i know that i still do out here.. i hope you all have a good week and i hope that we all can remember what this gospel is and what it has to offer! Expecially through the Atonement of our savior Jesus Christ!

Hey everyone how is it going? this week has been a lot of the same old. Door knocking and more door knocking. and a little bit of teaching. this week was good we found some cool potentials. one her name was judy we talked to her on the door step ahd talked about how God has Given us more scriptures and that he has called another prophet again today! she got really excited and said that she would love to meet again. right before we left she said he i own a restraunt just up the road and i wanna give you guys a free meall to there because i know thats what Jesus Christ did for his disiples is he fed them. it was really cool so she gave a 30 gift card to her reastraunt!.the bad news was that the next day she texted us and said that her and her husband didnt want to meet any more and that they researched online about the church (probably anti) but the didnt want to meet. when then had a lesson with an inactive family named the Emerys. they are awesome they are an older couple but really nice people he loves to hunt so we really got along. we were able to teach rylee this past week and prepare him for baptism this coming saturday! hopefully everything goes well! we also taught Kate byrd again this week and see is doing awesome! she was baptized about 3 years ago but has kinda fallen away and now she was to come back and she is making huge steps! it is awesome. Yesterday was a huge day for us! Elder Mills and I and our branch leader talked to the whole branch about project lift and how they can get involed. we did that for the two hours after sacrament! to even make it better President and Sister jacobsen gave talks in sacrament on the exact same thing that we were presenting! also we have the Stake President there and our high coucil man for the branch! it was awesome to feel of the spirit here in a little branch building! and to see everyone want to participate by serving one another in project lift! Then after that we went and had dinner at the clarks and also there was President and Sister jacobsen! we pretty much were with them all day yesterday it was really cool. things are going good here and things are picking up! i know that the gospel is true and that we all have a huge role to play in our Heavenly fathers Plan so dont let him down. love ya all

Door Knocking

Well this week we did some door knocking and some more door knocking and some more door knocking! and taught a couple lessons. We were able to teach Josh Klock this week one on one. it was a really great lesson. We talk about Faith and how faith drives everything that we do! i think he is starting to come back but sometimes it is hard to tell. the whole family was at church on sunday so that was awesome! They are headed to utah this week to go to a wedding of a past elder so hopefully that will trigger something in them. they are super excited to go! We also had a lesson with Sis Jack a recent convert. The spirit was crazy strong during the lesson! it was amazing to see how she has changed and how she is growing in the gospel! it is for little experiences like that that make it all worth it. We talk to a family this week while we were door knocking. elder mills tried to start the conversation cause they were just sitting on the grass. they didnt say anything so i tried. and they told us they were pretty unsure about god right now. after that it all just came out. There was 3 people sitting there a grandma, a girl about my age, and a family friend i guess. as the grandma started to talk she told us about how they had just lost their grandson, friend , son , and boyfriend. He was 18. he died is a car crash 3 weeks ago. as we talked with them they had so much anger toward God that he would take him. as we tried to explain the Plan of Salvation. they just got more and more frustrated. Nothing really came out of it atleast that i know of but i was glad that i knew and that i understood the plan of salvation and that after this life it is not over! i know that God has a plan for us all what ever it may be! i hope you all have a great week

"Jesus Christ didnt start your church!"

Well this week me and my boy Elder MIlls did a whole lot of door knocking! we had some rude people we had some crazy people and we had some nice people! One that we door knockied into was Carmen. she was there just cleaning the house but we started to talk about how we can find the one true church of Jesus Christ through all the different and crazy churches we see today! she said that she wasnt going to a church right now and that she would love to hear more. we didnt even have to ask her for her informantion she just gave it to us then she asked us for ours! it was awesome! she is truly prepared. WE were able to testify to a couple of people that we door knocked into about how we believe that Jesus Christ is our lord and savior and that Joesph smith is not the head of our church! i truly do know that Jesus Christ is the head of this church and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God as we testified to these individuals their countances booth totally changed because of the spirit that was there! it was truly amazing to see how are testimonies when given by the spirit can truly pierce the souls of those we are testifying too! Also that the Prophets and Apostles are truly called of God! I know that this church is True! i have recieved an answer from God and that is something that i can not deny! no matter what people say to me about the church or what not i will always stand as a witness of God In all times, in all things, and in all places! Because i truly do love my Father in Heaven and i know that my promise to him is that i will stand as a witness to him is all places! i hope you all have a great week and remeber that we are all witnesses of God in all that we do!

The Good and The Bad

Whats up Everyone! this week has been a good but bad week also! i will start with the bad. we had to drop about 4 of our investigators. which really was a bummer. these people just need to listen and pray for them self to know the truthfullness of the messages/ i could probably be a better teacher... well thats about all of the bad new now for the good stuff. This week was full of little blessing and miricales. we were able to meet with sister jack this week and man has she totally changed since she was baptized! she is super happy now and is very up beat all because of the spirit inside here now! things like that sure do make you realize that you are in the right place and a part of the true church! We have had a hard time find new investigators but this week while me and elder mills were knocking we were able to find some Solid potential investigators and just taked to some really nice people that hasnt happened in a while! last monday we were able to do the branch FHE that josh Klock had brought up the idea about! and it was a great turn out we had both klock familes there, 2 investigator, and about 37 people total! it was awesome the branch was the strongest in unity that i have ever seen it! it was amazing the next day we went and taught josh klock and his family and the spirit in the home was totally different! they all listened and the spirit was super storng and i know that it was because of the spirit that they had felt on monday! we also had a speaker in sacrament that was from Cedar and i also met another member that was from cedar. the one that spoke in sacrament has only been here for about 16 months. he is part of the piute tribe and shared one of the coolest storyies and testimony of his it was really awesome! the lord truly does put people in certain places for certain reasons!

Funny stories-
Well this week we had an investigators mom tried to give us some spiked jello. I also want to be like my dad on his mission and decide to ride a bull! me and josh klock did it down at the blue berry festival. we also got to help build a float for a nonmember then got to ride in it for the South Haven Blue Berry Festival! it was pretty fun! well i hope that you all enjoy and have a great week thanks for all that you do for me and my family!

Baptism!

We had an awesome week this week! this week we had a half mission p-day! we played some kick ball with kiddie pools as our bases and also their was slippin slides in the middle it was awesome! This week we were able to see one of our investigators be baptized! Her name is Diane Jack she is awesome! the started teaching her before i got here and we have been teaching he since! she was a member before and has just made the process to come back! her testimony is stronger than ever! The spirit at the baptismal service was super strong! it was Awesome! that is the reason i am out here is to bring people closser to Christ! in any way i can! i know that i didnt do a whole lot for sister Jack a lot of it was all on her own but it was still an amazing experience! We also door knocked in to a lady this week. she didnt want to learn more but we ask if she needed any help and she said that the next day she would need help cleaning up from her yard sale. so we told he we would be back the next day to help her! She was very very grateful! so we came back the next day and helped here as i started talking to her i realized that she was having a very hard time with life and had been for a while. she told me how her and her son have lymes diesease and have hard it since 2007. She is in servere cronic pain and has been for a while at times it is very hard for her to breath and for her to do things so she was very greatful when we came over! we talked for a while about how i know one woman who had lymes for sometime and that she was able to be healed through doctors and through the power of God. she is a super amazing and strong woman! she reminded me of my Mom! i am so grateful for my mom and dad and all they have done for me! after we got done helping her she asked if she could have a Book of Mormon so we gave her one she also gave us her number and address because she was just at her families house up here! so she said that she would love to have the missionaries over that live near her! it was amazing to see how a small act of service brings people closser together and closser to Christ! there is a video on Mormon Channel under the youth section called Reach out with Love! it is an awesome video! i hope you all have a great week thank you for all your prayers!

The Lord has his hand in all things!

This week we had great week! it was awesome! 1st we were able to go on trade offs with the Zone Leaders i was with Elder Marley who is a big baseball player from Arizona! we had a great trade off! we taught a couple of new investigators that they had picked up! these investigators were asking great questions but in one lesson i got pretty fired up. after the lesson i learned that we need to stay calm and let the spirit work in your self and lessons and if you are angry you cant do that! This week we were also able to have dinner with Josh Klock and his family we were suppose to have a branch coordination but we decide to just invite the mission leader to the park that we were eating at with josh. so our mission leader showed up and because he did and because our mission leader is so in tune with the spirit he started talking to josh right away about the Gospel and right there josh told us all his concerns and we were able to talked them out! they next thing you know is Josh to church this sunday! it was awesome! he brought his two little girls. we had a great sacrament meeting about temples and i realized how important temples really are to everything that we do! and josh loved it also and so this week their is a temple trip to the indiapolis temple and josh and his wife have decide to go and take the kids! so pray for them that they will go!!! they lord knows how to best handle everything! one thing that i have learned this week is that the lord shows us our weeknesses so that we can humble our selves and trust in him and as we do that he will make our week things become strong!!! (Ether 12:27) the Lord is also having a baptism on August 1st it is for a Member that has decide to come back to the church! she has come a long way i have been able to work with her since i have been here and it has been an amazing experience! Her testimony and her experiences she has had and she has shared with me have been a real testimony builder for and to me! i know that this Gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ is real and that his grace is their to change us and to help us become better! my favortie mormon messegaes are the ones called his grace if you havent seen them watch them and see how The lord has changed these people lifes and if he can do it for them he can do it for us all! Love you all!

Project Lift!

we did have to much go on this week we did have a couple great lessons with jada and tim and both of them commited to come to church but neither of them showed up we tried everything we could to get them their but nothing. we Have gotten a new branch mission leader and he is awesome! we have come up with a plan to get more unity with in the branch and to bring members together and to LIFT the attitude of the branch! we call it "Project LIft" based of the mormon message lift! if you havent seen it it is awesome! we have a couple of baptisms hopefully coming up! We have jada in august and also rylee pascual from a part member family! he is doing great! hopefully we can help a couple of our other investigators progress towards baptism too! this week we went over to fletchers house with brother banner. and fletcher just cried the whole time and said how grateful he was for me and elder Mafileo and helping him out it was a really neat experience. sometimes we just dont understand how much we bless peoples lifes!.we also caught a turtle this week so that was pretty awesome! i know that i am here for a reason in south haven im not sure why yet but I know God has a plan for all of us whether it is but great things or by small and simple( 1 nephi 16:29) i know that as we all try to do something good for someone at least once a day and put others first this world will become a better place because it is by those simple things that God brings about great things! i love you all and i hope you have a great week!
